Each 15 minute topic contains an animated drama with children’s music and an educational period delivered by Ivan who with his best friend and canine sidekick Sam, discover Ivan has cancer.
Ten songs from the video series will be included on a CD to soothe, entertain, and encourage— Ivan’s own music therapy.
A story book based on the video will allow the child and the family to review key areas and begin discussions.
Coloring books with scenes from the videos will be offered for review and discussion, especially before difficult events.

Plush figures will be distributed to the children who receive the project for extra comfort.
A resource guide which address questions like what cancer is, what can be expected during a hospital stay, and what might happen with friends, including lists to fill out, sample role plays, and diagrams.
Cancer control educational materials will be included so that the siblings and the family can explain what is occurring to their loved one. |
